PREPARE YOURSELF FOR PHRACK MAGAZINE #67 !@#
(hey, at least it's not a BLOG!)
-----------
Deadline: Friday the 15th of June
http://www.phrack.org/cfp_p67.txt
-----------
This sixty seventh edition of PHRACK MAGAZINE will be released July
11th 2010, in order to give to the inhabitants of the Easter Island
something to do during the solar eclipse [1].
The previous edition was the last one from Circle, to whom we pay our
respects, as they have done a great job with p{64,65,66}. Also, they
deserve a mention for the longest name for a staff ever. Kudos.
As for every kick-ass edition, we are seeking contributions related to
every imaginable underground topic. And as usual, here are a few basic
rules (call it "common sense"):
1. The topic covered has to be new. We don't publish already released
content though we may accept an extension of already published work
depending on the amount of new content.
2. Double tap.
3. PHRACK is an underground magazine. Any underground related topic is
welcome. If you have any doubt about your paper's eligibility, just
send us a draft and we'll let you know. (Beware, sometimes the staff
replies under the effect of insane amount of alcohol.)
4. The text has to be written in ASCII 7bit. No strange accents nor
exotic letters. We do accept SPARC assembly. The lines should be
75-columns long MAX. [vi-for-dummies: set textwidth=75]
5. There is no limit on the length of your paper (yeah, we bought a new
hard drive).
6. We don't allow submissions under corporate identities, however we
can provide an email alias as an alternative (or if you wish to
publish anonymously).
Please send your submission via email (putting ANTISPAM in the Subject) to

* staff AT phrack DOT org *
***************************
A submission has three possible outcomes:
1. The article is accepted, it will be published with the next release.
Great for you, you really deserved it :)
2. The article is not *yet* suitable for PHRACK but nonetheless could be
with a few more work. In such a case, a Phrack Staff reviewer will
be assigned to help you to improve your paper.
3. The article is rejected. Shit happens.
You will be notified via email as to the outcome of your submission no
later than 2 weeks after the close of this CFP.
Following our predecessors' principles, we believe that modern subjects
should be highlighted. Although we'll always be happy to publish badass
killing exploitation techniques or still-more-stealth backdoor papers, we
also look forward to contribution on alternate subjects, such as:
- Scene philes, underground news or unreported event testimonies.
- Community, Law, and other social mattering considerations in the
counter-cultural society.
- Body/Mind experiences, including cybernetics and hardcore
modifications or experimentations.
- "New" technologies hacking (Geolocalisation, Mobile Networks,
Satellites Communications, Wireless Sensor Networks, Grid Computing,
Web Services, Virtualization...)
- Phreaking (VoIP, PSTN/ISDN, Media Gateway, SS7...)
- Secret Network (SIPRnet, GOVNET, KTN, GIG, SwiftNet...)
- Spying, Law Enforcement (CALEA, SS8, Narus...), IP range list.
- Cryptography and Cryptanalysis.
- Hardware hacking, reverse engineering, embedded systems and carding
involving electronics or other complex topics.
- Botnet architectures, P2P hacking
- Telecom Networks (MPLS, ATM...) and Industrial Control Systems
(SCADA, DCS, PLC...)
PHRACK MAGAZINE is one of the longest running electronic magazines in
existence. Since 1985, PHRACK MAGAZINE has been providing the hacker
community with information on operating systems, network technologies and
telephony, as well as relaying features of interest for the international
computer underground. PHRACK MAGAZINE is made available to the public, as
often as possible, free of charge.
